Women Swimmers Shine at Roger Ahlman Invite

The women took 5th place at the Roger Ahlman beating Ausburg College. 

They started off the meet with a fourth place finish in the 200 medely relay with th team of Monique Dias, Brenda Neves, Shayna Asuncion, and Gabriela Reis. Yet all four of them turned around and swam the 400 IM dominating the event. Dias took 2nd, Neves took 3rd, Ascuncion took 4th, and Reis took 8th. The next event Asuncion, Dias, and Reis took 3rd, 4th, and 12th repsectively in the brutal 200 fly. Ascucion returned to the water for her final 100 fly of the day taking third place. Neves, Reis, and Dias teamed up in 200 breaststroke for a 1st, 4th, and 5th place finshes, respectivley.  The women finished the meet on a high note taking first in the 400 free relay. 

 

"The women were amazing today. They had great swims and each of them improved on one aspect of thier race that is normally pretty weak. The work they have been putting in is starting to show and they seem very excited to get back to work," said Coach Anderson. 

 

The women will be back in the pool this Friday night and Saturdayat the Luther Invite.

They will be back in the home pool against Iowa Central Janurary 6th.
