Iowa Lakes Wins in Three vs Southwestern

The Iowa Lakes Women's Volleyball Team traveled to Creston IA to take on Southwestern Community College. The Lakers came out strong winning the first two sets 25-17 and 25-22. Southwestern made a comeback in the third leading by 5 points for a majority of the game until Iowa Lakes scored 4 straight to tie the game at 22-22 the teams exchanged points before the Lakers came out on top 28-26.  RaeAhna Harmon lead the way for the Lakers hitting .583 with 16 kills, 2 errors on 24 attempts. Harmon also tallied 9 digs, 4 aces, and 1 solo block. Beckius led the way on defense with 12 digs and Samantha Hyde close behind with 10 digs. Iowa Lakes is now 6-4 on the season and 1-1 in conference play, they travel to Anoka-Ramsey Saturday for a tournament and will have their first home game next Wednesday in Estherville at 7pm vs Southeast.
