Iowa lakes Community College [2-13] stepped up big time and defeated ICCAC opponent Southwestern Community College [2-11] at the Laker Gymnasium on Wednesday night. The Lakers swept the match 25-22, 25-20 and 25-14.
The Lakers are now 1-1 in the conference and tied for second.
Coach Turnbull felt good about the performance, "We are trying to buy in to putting it all out there when we are playing conference matches on Wednesdays. Our goal is to finish in the Top 8 and go to the Regional Tournament." He added, "This win will prove to be huge as the season progresses. We play 9 conference matches, we have two in the books and seven to go. A team's record in the ICCAC is all that matters in determining who goes to the tournament."
