The Iowa Lakes Lakers opened the afternoon with a signature win over the St. Ambrose University JV [Blue] team. The Lakers gutted out an impressive 3-2 win. [21-25, 25-16, 25-20, 20-25, 15-11] Unfortunately they closed out with a 0-3 loss to Dakota State University JV. [11-25, 15-25, 15-25]

Coach Turnbull commented, "We were awesome in the first match. Came in ready to play and stayed on point the entire match. In the second match we just hit the wall hard. We got grumpy, stopped communicating and looked lackluster. Dakota State showed their maturity and took care of us with relative ease. That said 2 & 2 was overall a good weekend in the gym."

The Lakers also honored graduating Sophomores; Faith Marroquin, Mary Kelly, Ariel Bozonie and Evonne Tomlin with a brief ceremony before the last match.
