LAKERS SPLIT TRIANGULAR AT HOME
The Iowa Lakes Volleyball team opened at home with a split in their Triangular. The Lakers started the evening with a 3-2 win over Riverland CC [21-25, 25-21, 25-6, 16-25 & 15-9]. In the second match the Lakers fell to the Briar Cliff University JV 1-3 [25-23, 18-25, 22-25 & 20-25].
When asked, Coach Turnbull said, "It was a relief to get that first win after a slow start. In the second match we competed hard but didn't win enough of the tough points to pull it out. We still have a long way to go on our communication in play. When that starts coming around we will be able to play a faster pace."
