Iowa Lakes Volleyball Program and Coach Nick Erdman are proud to announce Alyson Hagberg's committment to play for the Soaring Eagles of Elmira College. Elmira College is an NCAA Divison 3 school, located in Elmira, New York that competes in the Empire 8 Conference. Alyson has been in our nursing program while at Iowa Lakes, and puts in countless hours both in the classroom and in her practicals. Alyson is a special case of a student athlete who can go to school on one campus, and play sports 30 minutes away while being successful in both, especially in the classroom where she consistenly earns outstanding grades. Alyson got to play in about half the matches her freshman year and she did a great job getting connected to the hitters and contributing to the offense. Hagberg, a Clear Lake, South Dakota native who went to Duel High School, had 708 assists in her career at Iowa Lakes. 

Coach Erdman had this to say about Alyson, "Alyson is a quieter kid at first but has a great sense of humor once she gets out of her shell. This allows her to create great connections with teammates. She has been a model student for our program and definitely left a huge imprint on what it means to be a Lakers volleyball STUDENT athlete. Alyson always puts others first which is a great quality in a setter, and person. She will make a great addition to the Elmira roster and campus. We are excited to see the great things she does."
