Lakers battle against number #19 Bears, while Uribe earns 500th career dig

The Lakers opened up ICCAC play with a home match against #19 DMACC. The crowd was out in full to support the Iowa Lakes volleyball team, and that energy helped the Lakers in the second set. DMACC took the match 3-1, with scores of 16-25,26-24,16-25,17-25. In the match MaKenzie Uribe earned her 500 career dig, an outstanding accomplishment. "I was very impressed with the fight our ladies had especially in set 2, to find a way to win. We still need to clean up our serve/pass game and find ways to keep teams out of runs." said Coach Erdman. The offense of the lakers was very balanced with a spread amount of kills, the defense was led by freshman libero, Lorin Turkdogan. "I am excited by our defensive plays both in the back court and at the net, once we add a stronger transition game we will be able to capitilize more on our strong defense," said Erdman.
