Comets soar over the Lakers

The Lakers took on the Comets on Thursday, September 26th in Sioux City. The comets came out with a lead in the first and the Lakers had multiple clawbacks to get close before falling 20-25. In the second, the Comets commanded the set finishing it 13-25. The last set the Lakers came out with more steam and had the set in their grasp before falling in the end 24-26. The Lakers showed some improvement especially in the third set but still have a lot of work to do to be a Region XI tournament participant. "We had a strong idea of what WIT would do and what we would do to stop them but didn't execute where we needed too. We had a very strong serve/pass night which kept us in at moments but we need to fire harder on offense and show our scrappiness on defense," said Coach Erdman.
