The Lakers headed to Creston to take on the Spartans of Southwestern Community College on Wednesday, October 2nd. The Lakers came out to a slower start than they were hoping for but got the rhythm going more and more as the match went on. Set three the Lakers got into a groove and really executed well. The Lakers met almost all of their statistical goals a big reason for the outcome. "We have been talking a lot about execution on our side of the net and did a good job tonight raising that level. Service pressure was very high for us and we passed well. Happy with a win, now we just gotta ride the momentum and keep moving forward," said Coach Erdman.
The biggest highlight of the match was Sophomore setter, Jordan Grimes hitting her 1000 career assists as a Laker! "Jordan has put in a lot of work, and has had some great teams help her in her journey to 1000 assists and we are all proud," said Coach Erdman.
