Vasquez, Griffin, Lead Lakers to Third Place Finish at BVU Women's Open

The Lakers took the short trip down to Storm Lake IA Saturday Morning and left with plenty of accolades and momentum. 

The team posted third place score, earning 69 team points in the tournament. 

Anika Vasquez finished 3rd at 235, and Morgan Griffin was the Runner-up at 170 pounds. 

Joining them with solid performances were Savanna Galindo and Leila Kollasch, who both finished in 4th place. 

The Lakers totaled 10 wins across the tournament and are now beginning to see what they have with their talent, "The results speak for themselves today. Having 4 athletes get multiple wins and Morgan going (4-1) on the day is incredible. Looking at where we are now in comparison to the beginning of the year is incredible. We're going to keep knocking down those walls and do great things as a team."
