Injuries and untimely sickness lead to the Lakers weighing in just 4 wrestlers for their dual against NIACC.

Leading the way was Leilana Kollasch who earned a first period fall at the 143 pound weight class. Kylee Ballesteros' forfeit at 155 was the lone other victory for Iowa Lakes.

"Tough to win a dual with four ladies. But those who strapped up today and wrestled, haven't looked better. Our big focus this week was controlling our effort. And to a lady, we did. Leila took care of business in the dual, but Alex and Isabel stepped up and wrestled two matches for us today. Their effort was there from whistle to whistle and that all you can ask for in a dual situation like what we were in tonight." - Coach Corey Muniz's thoughts at duals end.

The Lakers split the two exhibition matches, Alex Carty earned a 17-6 technical fall in that win.
