Cross Country runs at Trent Smith Invitational

Cross Country competes at NIACC

The men and women's cross country team traveled to Mason City, Iowa on Friday to run in the Trent Smith Inivitational. The women ran a 5k course that was flat throughout the race. Sophomore Jadin Bezdicek led the way for the women once again finishing in a time of 23:09. Sophomore Chelsea Cave was right behind Jadin finishing in a time of 25:28.

Over on the men's side, sophomore Kameron Rohwedder was the lone runner. Kameron ran in his third 8k of the season, but dealt with side cramps throughout the race so his time didn't reflect the effort he displayed.

"It was a chilly fall day, but we found out that Chelsea and Jadin enjoy running in that type of weather. They both had season bests and I thought they competed very well.. Kameron had a tough day today. He was running strong through three miles, but started having side cramps which really hurt his time. Regionals are coming up in a couple of weeks and I feel like we are in a good spot," commented Coach Bruce.

The cross country teams return to action on Saturday, October 28th when they travel to Iowa Central Community College for Regionals.
