On day 2 of the series, the Lakers dropped both games. The Reiver pitching attack kept the Iowa Lakes bats in check through both games allowing one run in both games. The Iowa lakes offense was led by Jalen Jones (Indianapolis, Indiana) having the lone RBI in game 3. Dean Bedell (Treynor, Iowa) also had a double and single in game 3. The Lakers pitching staff struggled on the day with the lone bright spot being Mitchell Hoover (Brandon Valley, South Dakota) who threw a competitive 4 innings allowing 1 earned run and Korey Johnson (Hutchinson, Minnesota) who threw 1 1/3 scoreless in relief.
