Lakers Struggle To Hold Back Tritons

Fort Dodge, IA — Lakers struggle to hold back Tritons

GAME ONE: (Tritons 10, Lakers 0)

Nothing came easy for the Lakers on Tuesday, as they fell 10-0 in five innings to the Tritons.

Mathew Wilkinson (#12) was the winning pitcher for the Tritons, going five innings, allowing one hit, striking out four and walking only one.

Andrew Eskens, for the Lakers, took the loss. Eskens lasting four innings, allowing five hits and five runs while sitting down seven.

GAME TWO: (Tritons 13, Lakers 3)

The Lakers scored early in the first inning, putting up two big runs.

The Tritons pulled away for good with three runs in the third inning. Leading the third inning was Max Holy (#6) who homered scoring three.

Payton Leonard (#24) solidified the win for the Tritons. The pitcher went six innings, allowing two runs on four hits and striking out five.

Jack Hested took the loss for the Lakers. The righthander surrendered four runs on four hits over three innings, sitting down one and walking one.

The Tritons launched two home runs on the day by Brock Johnson (#23) and Max Holy (#6).

NEXT UP: Iowa Lakes take on Southeastern at home for a four-game weekend series on April 10th, in Estherville, IA. Game times are set at for Saturday at 1:00pm and 4:00pm, Sunday at 12:00pm and 3:00pm.
