GAME ONE: (Blackhawks 10, Lakers 2)

The Lakers couldn't recover in a 10-2 loss to the Blackhawks on Monday. The Lakers struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing the Blackhawks, giving up ten runs.

The Blackhawks scored early in the first inning when Carlos Medina (#3) singled to score two runs.

Casey Perrenaud (#30) was the winning pitcher for the Blackhawks. Perrenaud went two innings, allowing one run on two hits, and striking gout one. Jake Frenci (#35) threw four and two-thirds innings in relief.

Cory Knight (#12) took the loss for the Lakers, allowing seven hits and nine runs over five and two-thirds innings, only striking out one.

Ben Bach (#14) led the Lakers offense going two for three with a home run.

GAME TWO: (Lakers 11, Blackhawks 1)

The Lakers had all cylinders firing with a win over the Blackhawks, 11-1.

In the first inning, the Lakers fired up the offence, on an error that scored one run.

The Lakers tallied four runs in the seventh inning. The offensive firepower was led by Dean Bedell (#20), Noah Murphy-Sealy (#7), Peter Marquez (#26), and Austen Daliet (#3), all driving in runs.

Dayton Robinson (#17) was credited with the victory for the Lakers. Robinson surrendered one run on four hits over seven innings, striking out seven.

Jacob Sullivan (#11) took the loss for the Blackhawks. Sullivan allowed seven hits and six runs over four innings, striking gout one.

The Lakers totaled ten hits on the day, one of which was a home run in the fifth inning, by Dean Bedell.

NEXT UP: The Lakers take on the Trojans on Wednesday April 14th, at Mason City, IA. Game times are set at for Monday at 2:15pm and 5:00pm.
