Norfolk, NE — Hawks take two from Lakers

GAME ONE: (Hawks 9, Lakers 0)

The Lakers took the loss in a 9-0 game against the Hawks on Saturday. The Lakers struggled to contain the offense of the Hawks, giving up nine runs.

A single by Austen Daliet (#3) in the first inning was the only positive that came from the Lakers on the offensive side.

Preston Tenney (#10) was the winning pitcher for the Hawks, surrendering zero runs, two hits and striking out five through six innings.

Logan Ferguson (#16) took the loss for the Lakers, going five innings and giving up eight runs on six hits and sitting down four.

GAME TWO: (Hawks 6, Lakers 2)

The Hawks started with things in the first, with scoring one. In the fifth inning, the Hawks stacked on three runs.

Dylan Rodgers (#15) pitched for the Hawks in their victory. Rodgers lasting five innings, allowing four hits and one run while striking out six.

Andrew Eskens took the loss for the Lakers. Eskens lasted five innings, allowing 11 hits and six runs while striking out two.

 

NEXT UP: The Lakers face off against the Hawks, to finish off their weekend series, on April 18th, in Norfolk, NE. Game times are set at for Sunday 12:00pm and 3:00pm.
