GAME ONE: (Eagles 8, Lakers 3)

Saturday's game against Eagles was a heartbreaker for the Lakers, as they lost the lead late in an 8-3 defeat. The game was tied at three with Eagle's batting in the top of the sixth inning.

Eagles scored four runs in the seventh inning, starting by a single by Trevor Burkhart (#23).

Reece Beuter (#20) was the winning pitcher for Eagles, going six and two-thirds inning, allowing six hits and three runs and striking out 12 while walking one.

Cameron Gallt (#22) took the loss for the Lakers, going three innings and allowing five runs on three hits and striking out four.

Dayton Robinson (#17) started for the Lakers, going four innings, allowing three runs on five hits, and sitting down three.

GAME TWO: (Eagles 27, Lakers 5)

The Lakers watched the game slip away early and could not recover in a 27-5 loss to Kirkwood.

The Lakers struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Eagles, giving up 27 runs.

In the first inning, Eagles got their offense started when Joel Vaske (#21) singled to score one.

The Lakers put up four runs in the third inning. The offenses started with a sac fly by Delvis Claudio (#29) and a home run by Noah Murphy-Sealy (#7).

Sam Goodman (#9) attained the victory for Eagles. Surrendering five runs on two hits over five innings and striking out three.

TJ Galleberg (#37) took the loss for the Lakers, going one and two-thirds innings, allowing six runs on four hits and striking out five.

NEXT UP: The Lakers take on the Eagles again, in Estherville, IA on April 25th. Game times are set for Sunday 12pm and 3pm.
