GAME ONE: (Eagles 14, Lakers 0)

The Lakers fell behind early and could not come back in a 14-0 loss to the Eagles Monday. The Lakers struggled to contain the high-powered offense of the Eagles, giving up 14 runs.

The Eagles opened by scoring in the first inning by Andrew Nord (#10), who doubles to score two.

A single by Dean Bedell (#20) in the second inning was a positive for the Lakers.

Luke Llewellyn was the winning pitcher for the Eagles. Surrendering zero runs, on one hit over five innings, and striking out eight.

Cory Knight (#12) took the loss for the Lakers. The righty lasted four innings, allowed nine hits and six runs while striking out eight.

GAME TWO: (Eagles 18, Lakers 4)

The Lakers fell behind early in a 18-4 loss to the Eagles. The Lakers struggled again to contain the offense of the Eagles, giving up 18 runs.

The Lakers knotted the game up at one in the bottom of the first inning. Noah Murphy-Sealy (#7) singled in to score one run.

In the sixth inning, the Lakers offense started again by a single by Dean Bedell (#20) and Murphy-Sealy, to score three runs.

Caleb Fuller earned the win for the Eagles. Lasting four innings, allowing for hits and one run while striking out seven and walking one.

Jack Hested (#5) took the loss for the Lakers, lasting four innings, allowing six hits and nine runs while striking out two.

 

NEXT UP: The Lakers take on the DMACC Bears, in Estherville, IA on April 27th. Game times are set for 1pm and 4pm.
