Lakers Loses Two-Games to DMACC

Estherville, IA — Lakers Loses Two-Games to DMACC

GAME ONE: (Bears 12, Lakers 1)

The Lakers lost to the Bears on Tuesday evening in a 12-1 defeat. The Lakers struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing the Bears, giving up 12 runs.

The Bears opened up scoring in the first inning with a single by Ben Nippolt (#1). The Bears also scored four runs in the sixth inning. Tre Mungin (#8) and Cadyn Schwabe (#6) each drove in runs.

Kaden Peterson (#36) was the winning pitcher for the Bears. Peterson allowed no hits and one run over one and one-third innings, as striking down two.

Jack Carlson (#36) took the loss for the Lakers, lasting one-third of an inning, allowing three hits and four runs.

GAME TWO: (Bears 14, Lakers 4)

The Lakers lost the lead late in a 14-4 defeat to the Bears. The game was tied at three with the Bears batting in the top of the sixth when Kyle Westhoff (#28) homered that scored two.

The Lakers event thing sup at three in the bottom of the fifth inning, when Dean Bedell (#20) singled to score a run.

Ray Ray Douglas (#15) attained the victory for the Bears, going two innings, allowing one hit and one un while striking out five.

Kelvin Castro (#39) took the loss for the Lakers, surrendering five runs on five hits through five innings, and sitting down two.

NEXT UP: The Lakers take on Iowa Western Reivers, at Council Bluffs, IA on April 28th. Game times are set for 1pm and 4pm.
