Lakers split against the Hesston Larks on Sunday evening

 

GAME ONE: (Larks 6, Lakers 3)

Brock Cordes got the win for the Larks. undefined surrendered three runs on four hits over two and two-thirds innings, striking out four and walking one.

Bryan Mojica took the loss the Lakers. The pitcher allowed six hits and four runs over five innings, striking out eight and walking zero.

Dylan Peterson started the game for Hesston College. The ace lasted four and a third innings, allowing two hits and zero runs while striking out three. The Larks totaled two home runs on the day. Sean Maple had a homerun in the sixth inning. Dylan Maltby had a four bagger in the sixth inning.

Adam Moser went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead the Lakers in hits.  Iowa Lakes Community College stole six bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Santiago Gonzalez led the way with two.

GAME TWO: (Lakers 2, Larks 1)

Both teams were strong on the pitcher's mound Sunday, but the Lakers defeated the Larks 2-1. The Lakers pitchers allowed just five hits to the Larks.

Bradley Barkley took the win for the Lakers. The righthander lasted five and a third innings, allowing five hits and one run while striking out nine and walking zero.  Sean Gamble threw one and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Alvaro Hernandez took the loss for the Larks. undefined went four innings, allowing one run on two hits and striking out three. Gabriel Monosmith, Joey Winter, and Ben Bach all had one hit to lead Iowa Lakes Community College.

 

The Lakers head to Beatrice, NE to face off against Southeast Community College on March 16th.
