GAME ONE: (Spartans 9, Lakers 2)

Iowa Lakes opened scoring in the second inning. Matt Torresan drove in one when Torresan singled.

Southwestern scored four runs in the fifth inning. The Spartans big inning was driven by a single by Bello, by Figveroa, and a double by Hudson.

Dingee led the Spartans to victory on the pitcher's mound. The hurler lasted seven innings, allowing seven hits and two runs while striking out seven and walking one.

Bryan Mojica took the loss for the Lakers. Mojica allowed nine hits and six runs over four and a third innings, striking out two and walking one.

Joey Winters led Iowa Lakes with two hits in three at bats.

Southwestern racked up 12 hits on the day. Toore, Phillips, Bargs, Bello, and Evans all had multiple hits for the Spartans. Toore went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead the Spartans in hits.

GAME TWO: (Lakers 18, Spartans 8)

Joey Winters didn't feel much like getting out, tallying four hits and leading Iowa Lakes to a 18-8 win over Southwestern. Winters doubled in the first, homered in the third, singled in the fifth, and doubled in the seventh.

Both offenses were strong at the plate as the Lakers collected 15 hits and the Spartans 14 in the high-scoring affair 

Southwestern fired up the offense in the first inning, when Evans tripled on a 2-0 count, scoring two runs.

After Iowa Lakes Community College scored one run in the top of the seventh, Southwestern answered with one of their own. Iowa Lakes scored when Winters doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run. The Spartans then answered when Jack Hested induced Bello to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored. 

The Lakers took the lead for good with three runs in the fifth inning. In the fifth Winters singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run and Sean Gamble tripled on a 0-2 count, scoring two runs.

The Lakers notched seven runs in the sixth inning. Iowa Lakes big bats in the inning were led by singles by Akxel Soto and Caden White, a walk by Gamble, and a double by Delvis Claudio.

Kellen Cameron was the winning pitcher for the Lakers. The pitcher went five innings, allowing six runs on ten hits, striking out two and walking one. Hested threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Ciafillo took the loss for Southwestern. The pitcher allowed eight hits and seven runs over four and a third innings, striking out three and walking one.

The Lakers tallied one home run on the day. Winters put one out in the third inning. Iowa Lakes totaled 15 hits in the game.  Winters, Soto, Peter Marquez, and Claudio all managed multiple hits for the Lakers. Winters went 4-for-5 at the plate to lead Iowa Lakes in hits. 

The Spartans had 14 hits in the game. Evans, Bello, Facia, Phillips, and Bargs each collected multiple hits for Southwestern.
