Lakers can’t keep up with Warriors offense

GAME ONE: (Warriors 16, Lakers 0)

Iowa Lakes fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 16-0 loss to Indian Hills on Saturday. The Lakers struggled to contain the high-powered offense of the Warriors, giving up 16 runs.

Indian Hills got on the board in the second inning on a singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.

A single by Blair Speas in the third inning was a positive for Iowa Lakes.

Bryan Mojica took the loss for Iowa Lakes. Mojica allowed five hits and nine runs over one and two-thirds innings. Indian Hills CC tallied three home runs on the day.

Joan Benavidez went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead the Lakers in hits. Indian Hills CC saw the ball well today, racking up 11 hits in the game.

 

The Lakers take on the Warriors tomorrow, Saturday May 7th, for their final home game. Game times are set for 1:00PM/3:00PM.
