Estherville, IA- The Iowa Lakes Men's Basketball defeated its 3^rd top 10 team in the last week with an 81-64 win over # 7 Kirkwood. The win moves the Lakers to 19-5 overall and 10-3 in Iowa Community College Athletic Conference play.

The Lakers were led by Benard Omooria with 22 points, Kai Evans added 19 points, Jaedan Jefferson had 16, and Sam West had 13.

Kirkwood was led by Zach Erwin with 18 points.

"Really proud of our defensive effort tonight. We had great energy on that end of the floor, and we were able to force them into turnovers and take advantage of those turnovers." Said Iowa Lakes Head Men's Basketball Coach Jason McKinney.

The Lakers will host Western Iowa Tech on Saturday for sophomore night. Tip for that game will be at 1pm.
