The Lakers get two wins on Thanksgiving weekend. The Lakers defeated Southeast CC out of Beatrice, NE in the first game 53-44. The Lakers were led by Brielle Bartelt with 14 points. Ihari Oromo added a double double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Anisah Wolf added 10 points.
In the 2nd game of the weekend the Lakers defeated Central CC out of Columbus, NE in overtime 64-61. The Lakers were led by Brielle Bartelt with 22 points. Jasmine Jones added 12 points, Emma Kanz added 11 points.
"Proud of our team and their effort this weekend. Found a way to finish two close games," commented Coach Martin.
The Lakers are 5-4 on the season. The Lakers host NJCAA Division I North Dakota State College of Science on Wednesday, November 30th at 5:30pm. The Lakers begin conference play Saturday, December 3rd as they travel to Fort Dodge, IA to take on Iowa Central at 1:00pm.
