This Sunday, February 12th, the Lakers travel to Iowa Falls to compete at the North Central District wrestling qualifer at Ellsworth Community College starting at 9:00 am. Teams ranked going into the weekend are as follows: Iowa Western #3, Iowa Central #7, Indian Hills #12, Ellsworth #14, NIACC #15.

Iowa Lakes will be represented by the following athletes:

149: Elijah Broesder

165: Trevor Kruse
174: LaTravion Agu

Head Coach Sean Boyle is very excited for the weekend stating "This will be the first time in a while we have the whole team competing together healthy. We've had some ups and downs and injuries in our lineup through the season but I feel we are peaking and at our best right now. As a coach post-season is the most rewarding time of the year because you get to see your athletes try and accomplish their goals and what they worked so hard for all season. I'm excited to see our guys compete and how many we can punch through to the national tournament!" 

Wrestlers who advance beyond the North Central District qualifier will earn a spot at the National Tournament held in Council Bluffs, IA March 3rd & 4th.
