The men traveled to Waterloo, IA to compete in the Redtail Shootout hosted by Hawkeye CC at Irv Warren Golf Course. The field included 12 teams (70 individuals). Iowa Lakes took 2nd place, falling 5 strokes short of tournament host, Hawkeye CC. The Lakers B Team finished 6th on the day. Josh Matheason, posting a 72 (E) round, tied for first place. He tied with the returning national qualifier for Hawkeye CC and lost the scorecard playoff. Raul Jerez Martin and Jacob Wiersma tied for 6th place with 75 (+3) rounds. "We added two talented transfers, Nate Panka, and Drew Parsons, which has helped tremendously. Our raw talent from top to bottom is exciting! But there are 7-10 teams in our region with just as much talent so we can't afford to make silly mistakes if we want to accomplish our goals. That being said, having three guys place in the top 10 is a great start to the spring. I've seen massive growth from fall to spring and hope that trend continues" said Coach Myers. 

Lakers will compete in the 2-day Iowa Central Invite at Fort Dodge Country Club on April 11th and 12th.
