(Emmetsburg, IA)   The Iowa Lakes Sports Shooting Team traveled to the Stockdale Gun Club in Ackley, IA and defeated Ellsworth 439x500 to 232x300. The win improves the Lakers record in the Western Division of the ICCAC to 2 wins and 1 loss. The top 5 shooters for the Laker's are: Jacob Grau-West 92, Blake Bresler 91, Tristan Werner 90, Joe Billings 84, and Paul Van Dover 82. This is the 3rd consecutive shoot that the 4 top shooters are all freshmen.

In the men's individual competition Jacob Grau-West tied Ellworth's Jackson Wolford with 92x100. In a shoot off both shooters broke a pair of 25x25 in rounds 1 and 2 from the 16 yard line and in round number 3 from the 23 yard line Jackson broke 23x25 and Jacob broke 22x25. Jacob ended with the silver medal. Blake Bresler took the bronze medal with a lone 91x100.

In the women's individual competition Cidney Tidgren took the silver medal to go with her gold medal vs NCC two weeks ago.

The Lakers will host Iowa Central next Saturday, October 5, 2024 at the Palo Alto Gun Club near Cylinder. The shoot starts at 11:00 am.
