The Lady Lakers traveled to Fort Dodge, IA to compete in the Iowa Central Invitational. With only one sophomore in the lineup, the lady's team is very young. Coming in with 384 (+100), the Lakers finished 6th out of 6 teams. Abby Brooks led the way for the Lakers carding 87 (+16) 9th place finish.
"Given how young we are, it was tough to set expectations to start the year. These ladies have a high ceiling. Abby had a great start to her college career. It was her first time seeing Fort Dodge CC, her first college tournament, and she was able to grind out a top-10 finish. The other ladies are close to breaking through as well. It just takes time to build the confidence and experience to score at this level. We're on the right track and will continue to chip away at it!", said Coach Myers. "I'm excited to see the growth throughout this fall and spring!"
Lakers return to action on 9/17 at the NIACC Invitational in Mason City, IA.
