Iowa Central hosted a two-day event at Fort Dodge Country Club. The Lady Lakers finished 5th of 6 teams posting rounds of 372 and 376. Briar Cliff(1st place) and Iowa Central(2nd Place) separated themselves from the rest of the field.  Abby Brooks led the Lakers with an 18th-place finish, carding rounds of 86-92 (+34). The rest of the lineup was within two strokes of each other. Results:

"The ladies are all going through some fundamental and mechanical changes. We haven't had enough time at practice to build confidence. Unfortunately, this course and the windy conditions do not favor players working to find confidence. It was a grind for the ladies and I'm proud of how they managed the two days without getting frustrated. We're building for districts. There will be some growing pains, but the goal is to peak when it matters most!" said Coach Myers.

The Lakers' next competition is Wednesday at Indianola hosted by Simpson College.
