Tianna Soto to Play at Iowa Lakes

Iowa Lakes Community College Head Coach, Katie Larson, announced the signing of Tianna Soto to the 2018-2019 recruiting class. Tianna is the daughter of Erika Knoerzer and played for the Henry J. Kaiser High School Cats.

"Tianna is going to be a quiet leader for us next year," commented Larson. "She is a shy individual that comes to work. She is like a sponge soaking up information from her coaches because of her desire to be better. This will make her a leader by example for us next year."

An outfielder from Fontana, California, Tianna posted a .529 batting average last year. She earned the Senior GPA Improvement award her freshman year, Silver Medal Academic award her junior year, and Gold Medal Academic award her senior year.

Larson also had this to say, "Athletically, we are very excited about Tianna. She is small in stature but has a lot of pop behind her swing. We have recruited a ton of speed in our 2018 class, so Tianna will give us that balance of speed and power. She will also have a great opportunity in the outfield, as we are graduating a majority of our outfield this year. Her ability to get a great read off the bat and her strong arm will allow her to be very successful. We are very excited to see Tianna in the blue and gold uniform next year!"
