GAME 1: 7 (ECC), 4 (ILCC) 8 innings

The Panthers were the first to score in the game. They put one run on the board in the top of the second on two singles. They added to their lead with a solo homerun in the third.

With two outs in the bottom of the third, Brooklyn Bode doubled and then scampered home on a double from Abby Burgess. Iowa Lakes tied the game up in the bottom of the fourth with three straight singles from Taylor Larson, Katelyn Hamm, and Macy Alderson.

Ellsworth regained the lead in the top of the sixth on a single and a Laker error. Ally Davis didn't let the Panther lead last long, blasting a ball over the fence to tie the game back up at 3-3.

Back-to-back singles for the Panthers in the seventh put the pressure on the Lakers defense. Ellsworth then went to small ball to advance two runners into scoring position with a sacrifice bunt. A groundball hit to Leighton at second was thrown home to get the runner attempting to score and give the Lakers two outs. With a runner at third, the Panther batter stepped up and singled up the middle to give themselves a one run lead. Burgess led off the seventh with a solo homerun to send the game to extra innings.

Unfortunately, the Panther's offense exploded in the eighth, scoring three runs on two homeruns and a walk.

Abby Burgess was 2-4 with two runs batted in during game one. Taylor Larson was 2-3 with a walk, while Brooklyn Bode was 2-4. Taylor Larson took the loss, throwing two innings and allowing four earned runs on five hits and two walks. Jolene Jordahl started the game, throwing six innings and allowing three runs, two earned, on eight hits and three strikeouts.

GAME 2: 6 (ILCC), 4 (CCC)

The Panthers were again the first team on the scoreboard, putting up two runs on two hits, one Laker error, and two sacrifice flies. The Lakers again did not let the lead last long, scoring four of their own runs in the bottom of the second. Davis led off the inning with a single to center. Alexis Cullinane then hit the Lakers first homerun of the game to tie the game at 2-2. With one out, Bode doubled and then scored on Burgess' second homerun of the day.

After two quick outs in the third, the Lakers rallied on two outs to score their final two runs of the game. Cullinane singled and advanced to third on a Panther error off the bat of Madison Goosmann. A passed ball allowed Cullinane to score and advance Goosmann to second. Bode then singled to score Goosmann and put the Lakers up 6-2.

Larson kept the Ellsworth offense guessing at the plate, until they scored one run in the fifth. They did this on a single and double.

The Panthers put some pressure on the Lakers in the seventh. They had a solo homerun to bring the lead to just two. With two outs, back-to-back Ellsworth singles brough Jolene Jordahl out of the bullpen. She got the first batter she saw to groundout to Alayna Leighton at second to complete the win.

Alexis Cullinane was 2-2 with two runs scored, two runs batted in, and one walk. Brooklyn Bode and Myla Murphy each added two hits of their own in the game.
