Mary Kelly to Play at Iowa Lakes

Iowa Lakes Community College would like to welcome Mary Kelly to the family. She will be playing softball and volleyball while attending Iowa Lakes. Mary attends Sandra Day O'Connor High School and is the daughter of Elisabeth Cuadros.

Mary is an outfielder/slapper from San Antonia, Texas. Last year, she batted .646 with 31 hits, including 9 doubles and 2 triples. Mary also found herself on the Honor Roll every semester of High School.

"We are thrilled to have such a hardworking and passionate player on our team" said Head Softball Coach, Katie Larson. "Mary is a dedicated athlete that is always looking for feedback to improve her skills to make herself and her teammates better. With her speed and the ability to power slap and soft slap, Mary will be a very hard out. We look forward to her being a pest on the bases and causing some headache for the defense. We are excited to see Mary in the blue and gold uniform next year."

Mary will also be spending the fall as a member of the Iowa Lakes Volleyball team.

Head Coach, Hunter Porter, had this to say, "Mary brings such a positive energy and light to the court. She is also extremely quick footed. With her fast feet and desire to be a constant student of the game, she will give us added depth in the back row. In addition to her defensive skills, Mary provides an attacking option out of the backrow. We are thrilled to have her join us this fall"
