FRESHMAN YEAR (2019): Gorospe played in 50 games for the Lakers last season. In her freshman campaign, Gorospe posted a .314 batting average from the leadoff position. She recorded 49 hits, including 9 doubles, 1 triple, and 2 homeruns. She had 26 runs batted in and scored 28 times. She appeared in 21 games on the mound for the Lakes. She recorded a 4-2 record, where she allowed 44 earned runs on 103 hits, while striking out 56. Gorospe was awarded Honorable Mention All-Region for her efforts. 

HIGH SCHOOL: Gorospe is a graduate of Baltic high School in Baltic, South Dakota. As a shortstop, Gorospe held a .913 fielding percentage. She compiled a very impressive .571 batting average and a .643 on-base percentage. For Gorospe’s hard work, she was selected to the All-State team in 2016 and 2017 and was awarded Best Defensive Player. Gorospe was a very well-rounded high school student. She was a State Runner-Up in Powerlifting in 2017 and also lettered in track and volleyball. Academically, she received a varsity letter for three years, received the ACT National Career Readiness Certificate: Gold Standard, and was named to the Volleyball Academic All-State team. In band, Gorospe received a Solo Ensemble Superior rating in 2014 and 2015 and a Solo Ensemble Excellent rating in 2017. In Art, she was runner-up at the Augustana Art Contest and was the winner of the Halloween Pumpkin contest and Arbor Day poster contest.

PERSONAL: Gorospe is the daughter of Gary Gorospe and Amber Gorospe. Throughout the years, she has gotten the nickname Lex and dreams of lifting weights for a career. Gorospe's favorite food is Tinga de Pollo, color is yellow, TV show is Your Lie in April, song is Run by Juice WRLD, and movie is Forrest Gump. She enjoys listening to music while doing something artsy or playing dodgeball. The most interesting place that Gorospe has visited is Chicago and her nickname is "Lil Lex".
