One Iowa Lakes Community College women's golfer, Isabella Thorson, was named to the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) Division II Women's Golf All-Region Honorable Mention Team.

"The women's schedule was hit hard by horrible weather this spring," said Coach Myers. "Isabella and Carli Gebel could only compete in one event before regionals. I think both deserved honors based on the trials and tribulations they've fought through this year. I was extremely blessed to step into a golf program that's filled with talent."

Thorson, a sophomore from Bigfork, Mont., placed 23rd at the Regional Tournament, carding rounds of 88 and 82.

"Given the circumstances of this spring, I was extremely proud of how they took that adversity head-on and showed up every day ready to grind. I have no doubt they will apply that same approach to their life moving forward and succeed!"
