Priscilla Lozoya to Play at Iowa Lakes

Iowa Lakes Community College Head Coach, Katie Larson, announced the signing of Priscilla Lozoya to the 2018-2019 recruiting class. Priscilla is the daughter of Josie Ramirez and played for the Valley High Vikings.

"We are excited that Priscilla will be a Laker this year," said Larson. "Priscilla's hard-working and passionate attitude ooze out of her. She absolutely loves the game of softball and goes to practice every day with the want to work hard to get better. She is going to be a leader for this team by both her actions and her voice. Priscilla has the confidence and intelligence to lead her team on the infield, which is something that we absolutely love about her. We cannot wait to work with Priscilla this year and are happy to have her in the blue and gold uniform!"

A shortstop/catcher from La Salle, Colorado, Lozoya is a four-year letter winner for the Vikings. In her senior campaign, Priscilla batted .379 with 25 hits, including 6 doubles and 5 homeruns. For her efforts on the diamond, Lozoya is a two time All-Conference selection and a two time Honorable Mention selection. She also helped lead her team to two regional championships.

In addition, Priscilla was a standout basketball and soccer player. On the court, she was a two year letter winner, where she earned an Honorable Mention and All-Conference selection. As a soccer player, Lozoya was a two year letter winner and an All-Conference selection.

Priscilla had this to say, "I chose Iowa Lakes Community College! With the intent to discover a new perspective of all the wonderful opportunities life has to give. I believe that Iowa Lakes will push me to grow as a person and will also guide me to pursuing my dreams!"
