Lakers Drop Twin Bill to #10 Southeastern Community College
On the first day of the doubleheader the Lakers lost game 1 by a score of 2-0. It was pitching and defense that stood out.  Hits were hard to come by for both teams as the Lakers totaled 2 and the Blackhawks had 5. Evan Sankey (Appleton, Wisconsin) took the hill, going a complete game giving up 5 hits, 1 walk, and 5 strikeouts in his third start on the year as he was the hard luck loser. The offensive attack for the Lakers was led by Andrew Eskens (Lincoln,Nebraska) who was 1-3 with a single and Spencer Keane (Palm Springs, California) who was 1-3 with a single to center field in the 7th giving the Lakers some life, but could not come up with any runs.  Chas Sagedahl, returning All American, stymied Iowa Lakes striking out 14 in a complete game effort.

In game 2, the Lakers fell 5-1, as runs were again hard to find for the offensive attack. The Lakers lineup was led by Jayden Adrians (Green Bay, Wisconsin) who was 2-4 with two hard hit balls through the left side, as well as Dean Bedell (Treynor, Iowa) going 2-3 with 2 singles through the 5-6 hole and a run scored. The Lakers offense was stagnent up until the 8th inning, where Bedell led the ining off with a single and advanced to second base on a fielders choice. Jimmy Mapakou (Vauréal, Île-de, France) later singled to the left side advancing Bedell to third base. He later scored on a missed pickoff to first base giving the Iowa Lakes life, but would eventually fall short. The starter in game 2 for ILCC was Frankie Cresta (Johnston, Iowa). The Freshman went 6 innings with 4 strikeouts and 2 earned runs allowed in his third debut as a Laker.
