Lakers drop 3 to Southeastern

In game 1 the Lakers put up a good fight going the full 9 innings but just couldn't shut down the bats of Southeastern. The Lakers had 8 runs on 9 hits, falling 8-18. Leading the lakers was freshmen Jace Embry with 3 hits and 1 RBI, and Johnny Marcos coming up big for the lakers with a grand slam. Marcos finished the day with 3 hits and 4 RBIs. Sophomores Joel Prpic, August Goethals, and Keyber Delgado (1 double) all added a hit.

In game 2 the lakers scored 2 runs on 6 hits, coming up short 2-9. Sophomores Elkin Ortiz and Drake Van Meter both had 2 hits, sophomore Carter Snyder added a hit, as well as freshman Jace Embry.

In game 3 the lakers had 1 run on 4 hits, dropping the final game of the series 1-18. For the Lakers, Johnny Marcos had 2 hits and 1 RBI, freshman Boyd Jones had 1 hit, and Elkin Ortiz had 1 hit.

The Lakers move to 5-25 overall and 1-13 in conference. They will be back on the road Tuesday April 8th against Northeast, first pitch is scheduled for 3:00pm.
