Tritons sweep Lakers

In game one on Wednesday the Lakers traveled to Fort Dodge to take on the Tritons. The Lakers scored 4 runs in 5 hits, falling short 4-19 in 7 innings. Sophomore Elkin Ortiz led the Lakers offensively with 2 hits, one being a home run, and 2 RBIs. Freshman Carson Riggs, and sophomores Keyber Delgado and Beau Dalian each added a hit.  Freshman Spencer Kober and sophomore Joel Prpic had an RBI a piece.

In game 2 on Thursday, the Lakers were back home for the double header. The Lakers scored 3 runs off 4 hits, falling 3-14. Carson Riggs had 2 hits, one being a homerun, and 2 RBIs, freshman Johnny Marcos had a homerun and an RBI, and freshman Nick Ryun added a hit. Pitching for the lakers was sophomore Emerson Fels, went 3.2 innings, giving up 5 hits, 7 runs, 2 earned runs, and striking out 6.  

In the final game of the series, the Lakers scored 6 runs on 7 hits, again coming up short 6-10. Sophomore Carter Snyder had 2 hits, Nick Ryun had 2 hits, both being doubles and 4 RBIs, freshman Spencer Kober, Johnny Marcos and Joel Prpic all had a hit a piece. Beau Dalian added an RBI. Getting the start in game 3, was freshman Jaxon Hermann. Hermann threw 4.0 innings, allowing 3 hits, 3 runs, 3 earned runs, and struck out 5.

The Lakers fall to 5-22 overall and 1-10 in conference. They will be back in action this Saturday against Southeastern CC. First pitch is scheduled for 1:00 pm.
