#2 Kirkwood Community College swept #16 Iowa Lakes Community College Monday afternoon in Cedar Rapids. The Eagles took game one 7-0 and the second 12-0 in five innings. They Lakers are now 28-13 overall with a 13-9 ICCAC record.

Game One: ILCC 0, KCC 7

Kirkwood scored in the first four innings of the game to put themselves up 7-0. The Lakers held them scoreless for the final two innings, but could not get their offense going and lost the game 7-0.

Courtney Calkins took the loss. She gave up seven runs, four earned, on seven hits and four walks. Leilani San Pedro led the Lakers at the plate going 2-3.

Game Two: ILCC 0, KCC 12 (5 innings)

The Eagles offense was strong again in game two, scoring 12 runs in 4 innings. The Lakers were again held scoreless in game two.

Ashton Kazmierski took the game two loss. She allowed ten runs, nine earned, on eight hits and three walks. Lauren Hein had the lone hit for the Lakers

The Lakers will travel to Fort Dodge on Wednesday to take on Iowa Central Community College.
