The Iowa Lakes Men's golf team was in action at the Buena Vista fall invite held at the Spencer Golf and Country Club.

The Lakers came away with a 9 shot victory over second place team Bethany Lutheran. In the Lakers team score of 311, they were led by Jacob Baker's 74 which was good enough for a 1 shot victory on the medalist side. The Lakers then had 3 scores of 79 by Jordan Henry, Eric Chambers, and Jack Brashear. Matt Bennett was the non-counting score with an 80.

The Lakers second team shot a score of 331 to finished 4th. They were led by Joe Swaine with a 78, Hunter King shot an 81, Connor Anderson shot an 85, and Hunter Longnecker came in with an 87. Non counting score was Collin Kemper with a 95.

"I felt like we got back on track to where we need to be. We aren't at full strength yet but we are improving each day. I'm very proud of this team and the hard work they put in. I'm very proud of them as a coach." Said Coach Soper.

Next action for the Lakers will be October 3rd and 4th when they travel to Council Bluffs to play in the Bent Tree Intercollegiate hosted by Iowa Western.
