With a 3-2 victory over Indian Hills Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) on Saturday afternoon, Iowa Lakes earned their eighth win of the season.

Indian Hills took an early lead five minutes into the game. A few minutes later, a goal was equalized by Alexis Vasquez for the Lakers. Taking advantage of an Iowa Lakes turnover, Indian Hills scored to take a 2-1 lead. The game brought much excitement as both teams continuously created chances from both sides of the field.

A driving run by Adriel Schultzen in the final minutes of the first half tied the match for Iowa Lakes. The game was won by Maria Vilhena in the second half after she drove past the last defender to score.

On Wednesday, October 19th, the Lakers will play their final game of the season at Iowa Western.
