Iowa Lakes Community College softball team took on #1 ranked Des Moines Area Community College on Saturday. The Lakers dropped both games with the score 15-0 in five innings. The Lakers are now 19-25 overall and 9-13 in conference. The Lakers will travel to Sioux City, Iowa to play a non-conference game against Morningside JV tomorrow, April 29th.

Game One: DMACC 15, ILCC 0 (5 innings)

Des Moines Area Community College scored fifteen runs in five innings in game one. They did this on thirteen hits, including four homeruns, three walks, while striking out one time.

Naomi Tolmachoff took the loss for the Lakers. She allowed twelve runs, nine earned, on eleven hits and one walk. Yasmine Nix allowed one run on no hits. Leilani San Pedro threw the final three innings for the Lakers, allowing two runs, zero earned, on two hits, two walks, and one strikeout. Julia Sullwold and Desiree Lopez each had a hit in the game.

Yasmine Nix took the loss for the Lakers. She allowed twelve runs, ten earned, on thirteen hits, three walks, and two strikeouts. Leilani San Pedro pitched one inning, allowing three runs, zero earned on two walks and one strikeout. Kacie Salazar, Kenlee Frank, and Montanna Popp each had a hit for the Lakers.
