GAME 1: 7 (JC), 6 (ILCC)

Iowa Lakes jumped out to lead when Abby Burgess led off the game by being hit by a pitch. She was then forced out at second on a fielder's choice from Myla Murphy. Murphy then stole second and advanced to third on a groundball from Taylor Larson. She scored on a passed ball.

The score remained 1-0 in favor of the Lakers until Jackson put up two runs in the bottom of the third. They did this off the pitcher, Larson, on three hits and one sacrifice fly.

Larson led off the fourth with a single and then advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt by Ally Davis. With two outs, Alexis Cullinane stepped up and singled to score Larson and tie the game up. The Jets put up a crooked number in their half of the inning on three hits, one walk, and one hit by pitch.

With the Lakers down 6-2, they chipped away at the lead in the sixth. Katelyn Hamm led off the inning with a single and advanced to second on a Larson walk. Macy Alderson then crushed a ball over the centerfield fence to bring them within one. Jackson College was able to get an insurance run on a single, walk, and Iowa Lakes error.

Iowa Lakes tried to put up a two out rally in the bottom of the seventh but were only allowed one run on back-to-back doubles from Hamm and Larson.

Katelyn Hamm and Taylor Larson each were 2-3, a walk, and two runs scored. Taylor Larson took the loss for the Lakers, allowing six runs, five earned, nine hits, one walk, and one strikeout. Jolene Jordahl threw 2.2 innings, allowing one earned run on four walks, and three strikeouts.

The final Laker run came in bottom of the sixth when Larson led off with a walk and advanced to second on a groundout to first base off the bat of Alyvia Jensen. Larson then got herself to third on a passed ball. Davis followed with a walk and then Larson scored when Davis drew a throw to second but was safe on the steal.
